This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My students are energetic 9th graders on the West side of Philadelphia. Water is the number one request daily. We all need water in order to perform at the best of our ability. Unfortunately, water is a basic need that does unmet.
Every single day over half of my students ask for water, sometimes I have a bottle to give them and some times I don't.
I want to be able to provide this basic need to my students so that they can get stay hydrated and focus on learning. Ultimately, learning is the main goal.
