My Project

The flexible comfy collaboration and seating zone that I am requesting will provide my students with a spot in the classroom where they can read books, work on writing, play a game with a classmate or just have a comfy space to cuddle up and have some downtime when they are having big feelings.

My goal for this project is to rebuild my classroom due to the Lahaina Wildfires.

We are months away from moving to a temporary school that the Army Core of Engineers and a local construction group is building for us. My students have been through a lot in the past 5 months and my hope is to create a classroom space that has them say "wow!" Many of them have been displaced from their homes, living in hotels and enduring constant change. I want my students to come through the doors of their classroom and feel like they are "home."
