Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am fortunate to teach a group of resilient and hardworking students in a low-income area. Despite facing daily challenges outside of school, they come eager to learn and determined to succeed. This project aims to enhance their learning environment by providing essential resources that can make a real difference in their daily lives.

A microwave and mini fridge will allow students to bring meals from home and keep them fresh, ensuring they have access to warm food throughout the day.

This is especially important for those who rely on school meals and may need extra support to stay nourished. Additionally, the Brita water filter and replacement filters will ensure students have access to clean drinking water, helping to keep them hydrated and focused.

To create a more welcoming and calming classroom environment, corner LED floor lamps will provide soft, inviting lighting. Good lighting is essential for creating a comfortable space that can help inspire and motivate students, especially for those who may not have an ideal study environment at home.

My goal is to create a classroom where students can focus on learning without the distractions of hunger, thirst, or discomfort. By providing these resources, I want to show my students that their well-being is a priority and that they deserve a supportive space where they can thrive.

My students’ determination and spirit are truly remarkable. Despite the obstacles they face, they remain dedicated to their education and their future. This project is about offering them basic comforts that can make a significant impact on their daily lives, helping them stay focused and motivated in their academic and personal growth.
