My Project

Our 2024 has gotten off to a great start! We've created this project in order to bring the kids' most favorite books to our classroom and into our students' homes. Building a habit of reading every day can strengthen a student's vocabulary, background knowledge, and overall comprehension. It also encourages students to spend time with their families by reading together. Our blanket will help keep them warm while they read their books!

By purchasing these books, we are promoting engagement in reading, and when children read books that they resonate with, it can make reading more enjoyable.

We want to instill in the kids that reading is a fun, lifelong hobby that can help bring families together! Thank you for taking the time to donate to our project!

The next few weeks will be extremely cold and our goal is that we will provide games, activities, & books in the warmth of our classrooms for indoor recess that will promote community amongst our students. We are encouraging students to play brain games, create crafts, or read a book during these free choice indoor recess times, rather than reaching for a game on their device. The brain teaser game, paper, pens, & tickets will help encourage and make the choice to go without their devices a no-brainer! We can't wait to add these awesome additions to our classrooms to keep us having fun while staying warm!
