My Project

Young children need hydration to learn and grow. They work and play hard and get thirsty throughout their day. Traditional water fountains located in hallways are not always accessible or convenient to use for little folks and can't be accessed upon demand like a water bottle right in the child's classroom on a shelf he or she can reach. In the past I have asked my parents to send in bottles for their child. Only about 40% of my families are able to do this and so many children go without access to water as often as they may like to have it due to our budget constraints to provide a bottle for every child.

The same budget constraints are in place for our outdoor gear in the winter.

I have a basket of extra mittens and gloves for those who come without them. However, over the years this basket is getting depleted. Kids need warm hands to enjoy outdoor play.
