From the moment we received it, recorded the week's stories and placed it in our new listening area, this little story system has been worth it's weight in gold! We use it daily in the listening area and pair it with books so my students can follow along. \" They are starting to notice beginning letters in these simple books, and it is showing in our assessments!\r\n\r\nThis is so effective with my ELL students. Being able to hear the same story several times, they are catching on to phrases in the books: \"Boots that go, 'clomp, clomp!\" and thanks to the repeated exposure to the story, almost all of my students can answer questions about the story (Who are the main characters? What happened in the story? Because you helped purchase them, my students were able to practice their name-writing skills all summer long. I've heard from parents that because the boards and markers were so fun, they didn't have to ask their children to draw; the kids asked their parents if they could \"play on the boards!\" \r\n\r\nI am so thankful for all you do, either for my class or for another great cause. Few people think beyond their own households now, because money is tight for everyone.
