Wanted: Creative Second Graders to Learn Through Stem!

My Project

Students need to critically think and problem solve in today's world. My second graders LOVE to build and create. I want to provide them with a variety of STEM activities to foster their imaginations and creativity through hands-on learning experiences. I am requesting many types of building materials such as brain flakes, magnetic tiles, building bricks, straw structures, snap cubes, plus-plus blocks. Each of these will foster student enrichment and learning acceleration. I am also requesting books and other materials for whole group STEM challenges to foster critical thinking skills and cooperative learning. These materials will also be used to help my students with social and emotional learning by allowing them to practice taking risks, trying again, cooperating, and giving them the chance to learn through different modalities in a safe and nurturing environment. These opportunities will enrich ALL of the students in my class for not only this year, but for many years to come.
