Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are amazing, creative, curious learners. They are enthusiastic about being in the classroom and growing their academic brains as well as their social and emotional skills. They are amazing classroom citizens and cannot wait to go into the world to be amazing world citizens!

We are living in a world that is scary and difficult to navigate as adults, let alone children and when you consider the unique disabilities of my students, social-emotional learning becomes even more critical.

It is my hope with this project I will be able to help my students identify big emotions they or their peers are having and then brainstorm ways to deal with these emotions. With one-on-one teaching and small group teaching, these materials will allow me to work with my students to build a level of social-emotional intelligence that will hopefully foster a sense of strength, pride, courage and confidence in my students so they can move forward and make the best choices possible in any situation and be the best they can be!
