My Project

In First Grade in Oklahoma a few of our Social Studies standards focus on the purpose of government, patriotic traditions, and American Symbols. We thought it would be fun and beneficial to incorporate a voting booth into our pod for not only purposeful play but also academic standards. We have voting booths but wanted some patriotic decor to make it feel like a real voting site. We plan to make voter registration cards and IDs for the students so they can gain a greater understanding of how the voting process works.
