Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love that my students come to school each day ready to try new things, communicate in new ways, and support one another. They are creative, caring, and full of enthusiasm. My students thrive when learning feels engaging, comfortable, and safe, and I am always inspired by their willingness to take risks and grow.

The puppet theater and puppets will give my students a playful and low pressure way to practice expressive language, storytelling, and social interaction.

Through role play, they can explore emotions, rehearse conversations, solve problems with peers, and build confidence speaking in front of others. Puppets make it easier for many students to communicate feelings they may not yet have the words for.

The large foam bean bag chairs will help create a cozy and sensory friendly space where students can relax, enjoy puppet shows, participate in small group lessons, and connect with each other. Many of my students benefit from flexible seating that helps them stay calm, focused, and comfortable during learning activities.

These resources will work together to create a warm and supportive environment where students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. They will help students find their voices and build confidence every step of the way.
