My Project

My students are naturally curious scientists who love asking questions, investigating phenomena, and sharing their discoveries with others. They are most engaged when they can actively participate in their learning rather than simply reading about science concepts. I strive to create a classroom where students can visualize complex ideas, collaborate with peers, and communicate their thinking in meaningful ways.

One of the most effective strategies we use is creating models and anchor charts together.

As we explore scientific phenomena, students develop visual representations of their thinking to help make abstract concepts more concrete. Whether we are modeling ecosystems, energy transfer, weather patterns, or the interactions between Earth's systems, these visual tools help students deepen their understanding and make connections between ideas.

The markers, colored pencils, and organizational supplies in this project will allow students to create detailed scientific models, colorful anchor charts, diagrams, and project displays that support their learning throughout the year. The variety of colors will help students organize information, identify patterns, and clearly communicate scientific concepts. The classroom storage boxes will keep materials organized and accessible so students can quickly engage in hands-on learning experiences.

Project-based learning is a cornerstone of our classroom. Students regularly work on collaborative projects that require them to research, design, create, and present their findings. These experiences increase engagement, strengthen critical thinking skills, and help students take ownership of their learning. With these supplies, students will be able to create professional-quality science posters, presentations, and models that showcase their understanding and creativity.

These resources will encourage creativity, collaboration, and deeper understanding while empowering students to communicate their ideas with confidence.
