My Project

Having a whiteboard in my speech therapy office would provide a valuable visual and interactive tool to support students across a variety of communication goals. A whiteboard would allow me to model correct speech sounds, sentence structures, vocabulary, grammar, and social communication skills in a clear and engaging way. Students could actively participate by writing, drawing, organizing ideas, answering questions, and practicing target skills directly on the board, which would provide an additional multisensory learning experience. It would also allow me to quickly provide visual cues, reminders, examples, and feedback that can be adjusted to meet individual student needs. A whiteboard would be especially beneficial for students who benefit from repetition, visual supports, and hands-on learning, while also increasing engagement and independence during speech-language therapy sessions.
