My Students

Do you remember all of those rules your math teacher told you about solving equations? Probably not, but I bet if you do, you probably can't explain them.

My middle school math students are bright young minds.

They are our future engineers, doctors, creators, designers, and innovators. They need to learn to solve problems. They need to explore the mathematics. They need to have the mathematics at their fingertips.

My Project

My students need to discover where mathematical algorithms are derived. These balance skills and experiments will allow students an opportunity to derive mathematical algorithms on their own. The balance skills will let kinesthetic students touch the math, visual students to see the math, and auditory learners to hear the math. Students will learn how to solve equations. Students will learn to become problem solvers.

Students will have fun doing math.

Students will have a better understanding of the math. Students will become problem solvers. Students will do even better on their standardized tests.
