My Students

Our students are academically, economically, and culturally diverse. They have a variety of different experiences that add to the diversity in our classroom. Over fifty percent of our students receive free lunch, which is greater than the state average. We were awarded STEM certification in November of 2018. This is a great honor since we are the first public, Title one elementary school awarded in Idaho. The ongoing training helps us to design and differentiate rigorous lessons and learning sequences that are intended to meet the needs of all learners.

My Project

This Oculus Virtual Reality headset will help my students experience different science phenomena and other important sights and experiences across the globe.

Students will be able to connect with things they will be learning about without leaving our classroom.

We are a stem school and have relied upon our community connections to help provide additional experiences to our students. Having this headset will provide those enrichment opportunities for our students. Students will be able to use this to see dinosaurs and paleontology digs up close and experience the location the fossils are found.
