Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are eager learners. Their bodies are constantly moving and their brains are like tiny little sponges that are absorbing everything around them. My students need Scholastic magazines to learn from a wide range of information that will feed their minds. My kiddos will learn so many new things about the world from animals to culture to the seasons with these magazines. These magazines are created for their young minds. Not only will my students be able to engage with the pictures but the digital components give students an opportunity to interact with the magazine by watching videos and playing games inspired by the content being learned about in the magazine.

While reading through these magazines my students' perspectives will grow and interacting with the text in this way fosters a love for reading and math.

As part of a learning bonus, all the magazines conclude with a literacy or math activity. These magazines provide engagement for all students and provide learning opportunities for them. Please help me bring these wonderful interactive magazines to continue to foster a love for learning in my classroom.
