My Students

I am the library media specialist at a K-4 elementary school. Our students are a diverse group. They learn in a variety of ways and settings. We are a Google school and many lessons incorporate technology and computers.

Many students find technology infused lessons most engaging.

During the day carts containing Chromebooks are shared throughout the building. Students foster independence by logging into their accounts to access their Google Drive, complete assignments in Google Classroom, and even create videos as a response to literature!

My Project

Students use Chromebooks during library media class for a variety of purposes. Everyday students are learning typing skills, conducting research projects, planning and creating in maker space, filming videos, and so much more.

We need new USB headphones for our Chromebooks so that students may work on projects independently without disrupting one another.

The headphone plugs are worn out on our old headphones causing the plugs to dislodge and the external speakers to turn on automatically. Things get very noisy. Replacing these old headphones with USB headphones would ensure that they last longer and that the plugs would not get worn out overtime.
