This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach in a low-income community where many families struggle to afford the basic necessities, including school uniforms. Our school requires uniforms, but for some students, the cost is simply too high. Without the proper attire, many of my students feel unprepared and out of place, which affects their confidence and participation in class.

When students don’t have uniforms, they face more than just dress code issues – they miss out on the opportunity to fully engage in their education without worry.

These students want to learn, but their families often can’t afford the extra cost of uniforms, making it difficult for them to come to school prepared each day.

With your support, we can provide school uniforms to students in need, ensuring that they arrive at school every day ready to learn and participate fully. Uniforms will help our students feel confident, prepared, and like they truly belong, allowing them to focus on their studies instead of what they wear.

Your generous donation will allow us to purchase uniforms for these deserving students, making a huge difference in their daily school experience. With your help, we can remove one more barrier to their success, ensuring that they have the clothing they need to feel comfortable and confident in the classroom.
