This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a group of diverse 6th grade students that love to learn and play. I want to make my classroom the most enriching learning environment I can. By providing my students with the materials to conduct hands-on learning, we are providing them with endless possibilities.

My favorite part about my students is their diversity.

They come from a very diverse range of home structures with single parent families, multiple-family homes, and foster, migrant, and military families. They also come from many different cultures. We are a Title I school with the majority of our students receiving free/reduced-price breakfast and lunch.

It is important for me to meet the needs of all of my students in a safe and engaging environment.

My Project

I have the amazing opportunity to work with approximately 150 6th grade students, who come from middle to lower-income families, who rarely get the chance to participate in team sports. Moreover, they come from a very diverse range of home structures with single-parent families, multiple-family homes, and foster, migrant, and military families. I want to provide them a place where they can run, play, and compete with one another and learn the importance of teamwork. This is one of the main purposes and goals of having an after school sports club for our students and you have the opportunity to help us out!

We are in need of some flag football equipment.

What is flag football without the flags? Nothing! We have some football, but we have no flags. We are in need of flag football flags.

Can you help us out?

With your donation, you will make a greater and wider impact upon our students, not only in sports but in their worldview. They will realize and understand that there are good and generous people in the world that care about them. They will realize that there are good people, who want them to have a great time and have opportunities that are difficult for them to pursue in life. Moreover, it will motivate them to their best on the field and, especially, off.
