My Students

My 650 students LOVE music class! They come to my classroom ready to sing, dance, play, and experience the art of music. I am blessed to teach such passionate, excited students every day. Even though my students are from a high poverty community, they have a strong sense of joy and love for music.

A class set of ukuleles will provide years of learning for students!

Many students never get the opportunity to play a musical instrument. Learning how to play a ukulele will hopefully inspire and ignite an added sense of respect and love for music in my students!

My Project

My students LOVE anything and everything about music! We already have a strong, thriving music program at my school that involves singing, movement, playing classroom instruments, performing for our families and community, and learning to love the art of music!

Now I am excited to present a new idea to my students...UKULELES!!

Incorporating ukuleles into the Elementary Music classroom is sweeping the nation as a way of helping children learn an accessible, portable, and affordable instrument. Children will learn to play songs and accompany themselves in a brand new way. Adding ukuleles into our school is a fresh, exciting idea!
