Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As an elementary school counselor, I work with students every day who are learning how to understand their emotions, build healthy relationships, solve conflicts, and navigate challenging social situations. Bullying, teasing, exclusion, and unkind behavior can have a significant impact on a child's confidence, sense of belonging, and ability to focus on learning. I want to provide my students with engaging, age-appropriate resources that help them understand bullying and, most importantly, learn what they can do when they experience or witness it.

The Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) gift card will allow me to purchase supplemental counseling resources that directly connect to the books, I will use these materials for activities such as discussion questions, role-playing, reflection activities, worksheets, scenarios, crafts, and interactive lessons, also the bracelets will be used as a reminder to stay bully free..

These resources will be especially valuable because they can be used with students across grades K-5, allowing me to address bullying prevention and positive relationships at developmentally appropriate levels throughout the school year.
