Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Telpochcalli rock band students have been enjoying after-school jams, and have started writing their own original music. They are so excited to play electric guitars, but we don't have enough amplifiers or cables, and the ones we have are heavy, unwieldy, and take up a lot of space.

With small practice amplifiers, they'll be able to practice at school and at home, using battery-powered amps that are so small they fit in the pocket of a guitar case.

With these amps and cables, replacement strings and picks, our young rock and rollers will be better able to creatively express their musical ideas and enjoy the opportunity to really rock!

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
