This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love that my students come to class with unique personalities, creativity, and the potential to grow—even when they feel unsure about math. I understand that math is often one of the most dreaded subjects, and many students enter my classroom already feeling anxious or discouraged. That’s why creating a fun, welcoming, and engaging environment is so important to me. Simple resources, like colorful paper for quizzes, can make assessments feel less intimidating and more inviting. Small incentives, such as treats or rewards, help motivate students and build positive associations with learning. Each supply plays a role in keeping students engaged, focused, and willing to try, helping them actively work toward their academic goals with confidence and excitement.
