Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are a group of academically and artistically talented individuals. I teach 7th-grade math with students of various backgrounds. A lot come from low-income families and require extra support.
While my students are all very different, they are creative, persistent, and capable in and out of the classroom.
To help my students succeed, I am creating a classroom environment to fit their needs and personalize the content based on each individual’s level. My goal is to teach my students mathematics and their skills to be college and career-ready. My students will begin to prepare themselves for 8th grade, high school, and beyond through inquiry and collaboration.
My Project
The masks, along with dry erase board wipes will be beneficial in keeping a safe and clean classroom, possibly decreasing student illnesses.
Students love rewards for good work and good behavior!
The snacks and bottled water will be used to encourage continuous hard work and improved behavior choices. May not seem like much, but it's amazing to see the differences that are influenced by a small piece of candy, or a bag of chips. The bottled water works wonders, too. They've been askin for reward stickers, and so I can't wait to get those!
