I am a teacher in a Title I school. Some students come to school hungry with very little sleep from the night before. They feel like school is their safe place where they feel comfortable sharing things with their teachers and friends. The students are so happy and eager to come to school wanting love and support from their teachers.
We do our best to give the students the love that they deserve.
Our school teaches the 7 habits of happy kids. It has helped out kids tremendously when it comes to worrying about themselves and taking responsibilities for their actions. We have seen some amazing changes in our kids since starting this. Along with the 7 habits, we have also flipped all of our classrooms. The students are no longer sitting in desks but they have comfortable places to sit including couches and gaming chairs. They are able to get so much more accomplished during the school day when they are comfortable in their surrounding.
My students are so special to me and deserve so much more. I hope that they know how much they are loved by so many.
My Project
Students will be given the opportunity to travel to their state capital and see things that they may never get the opportunity to see. A lot of these students may never leave Springfield, Missouri and this gives them an opportunity to travel to see their capital. They have been learning about our state government, the history of Missouri along with famous Missourians.
Your donations will help students experience first hand all the things that our state capital has to offer.
Our students will visit the capitol building, the governor's mansion, Missouri State Museum, and the highway patrol headquarters. They will be learning more about our government and have a first hand experience on how a state government operates. They will gain a better understanding of the importance of our capital.
