Transport To Ancient Egypt

My students need a class trip to the Children's Museum of Indianapolis to see the King Tut exhibit. Requested is the cost of transportation to the museum.

We "heard it through the grapevine" about Tutankhamun. We're asking through the grapevine to see King Tut, too. Next year the second grade will consist of 100 students that will include students who receive free or reduced lunch, that are autistic, have ADHD, and/or speak English as a second language.

As part of the second grade curriculum the children study different communities and cultures. Young people seem to think of a ruler as being an adult's role. The King Tut exhibit will show the children that a youth had an important impact on a society that influenced the whole world and continues to fascinate the people of today. The Golden King and the Great Pharaohs exhibit at The Children's Museum will provide our second graders with a wonderful opportunity to view another culture and learn from many hands on experiences concerning ancient Egyptian history. The children will view treasures from the tomb of King Tut. They will see CT scans of Tut's mummy and view many artifacts that have never visited the United States.

The children will appreciate the ancient world of the Egyptian people and enjoy what kingship meant to these proud people. Since our students will not be able to travel to Egypt, the King Tut exhibit will make this "virtual" journey possible. By supporting our request, you will enable inquisitive spirits to satisfy and enrich their curiosity.
