This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I attended the 2026 Council of Exceptional Children's Conference and I attended the session on transition. Although transition is a discussion that begins as early as daycare, on the high school level transition becomes a part of the IEP (Individualized Educational Plan). I have a transition station that is being installed into my classroom and students will rotate to complete transition activities to include resume, transition assessments, virtual job shadowing, and exploring the Occupational Outlook guide. The goal is to help every scholar to be future ready and to tap into all of the possibilities that exist beyond high school.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
