My Project

I am a first-year school psychologist who works with special education students who are mostly boys. They love to play with toy cars and trucks. The students would be able to play together with these toy cars and trucks.

These toy cars and trucks will be utilized for supported play.

I will guide the students to play with the toy trucks together. This guided play will help the students develop social skills such as turn-taking, team building, perspective taking, and cooperation.

These cars will give them something to bond over that they are interested in and will help them meet their social skills counseling goals.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
