Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a first-year 7th grade English teacher, my goal is to create a classroom environment that is organized, engaging, and supportive of every student's learning needs. The materials I’m requesting, such as a rolling storage cart, storage bins, index cards, markers, colored pencils, and Expo markers will help me keep supplies accessible and allow students to participate in interactive, hands-on learning activities. These tools will support activities like group work, creative projects, and vocabulary games that make language arts more dynamic and meaningful. The paper shredder will help me protect student privacy, especially for writing drafts and sensitive feedback, while cleaning supplies like hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes will help maintain a healthy, safe classroom for all.

With the help of these materials, I hope to foster a space that brings creativity, and resilience into the classroom.

Since many of the students are bilingual or learning English as a second language, they thrive when given opportunities to express themselves through writing, art, and collaboration. With the help of these materials, I hope to foster a space where students feel equipped, encouraged, and ready to learn. My goal is to build a classroom where every student feels valued and supported, both academically and emotionally. These supplies may seem small, but they play a big role in helping me create a learning environment where all students can succeed and feel proud of their work.
