Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

All of these books that I have chosen, I have chosen with my students in mind. I thought about each and every single one of them as I searched for each book. My students have expressed a love for books since the first day of school, and though they have read or have heard me read every book on our bookshelf once or twice already, their excitement is always there.

These books will, of course, enhance language, and literacy, but also promote inclusion and diversity, and spark so much interest.

These books represent my students!!

A new collection of books for our bookshelf will help my students continue to enjoy independent reading time and reading with a partner.

This project will allow my TK after-school students a chance to choose from a variety of new books that interest them which will increase their reading ability and increase their love for reading.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
