My Project

Motivating kindergarten students in your classroom can be very simple. Kids love to be rewarded. Positive reinforcement is a very important element in education. In my classroom I utilize "Kinder Cash" which is play money that is given to a student throughout the day/week when he or she is engaged in lessons, showing kindness to others, thinking outside of the box, working hard...you name it.

Creating a positive classroom environment is what I truly strive for.

When students are rewarded for positive behaviors you are not only reinforcing their behavior…you are promoting that behavior to their peers.

Every Friday students have the opportunity to go shopping at our classroom store. They count their money out and determine what they are able to purchase. For many, it is the highlight of their week.

I try to keep my classroom store filled with exciting treasures that will encourage my students to continue to be their best each week.
