My students need a subscription to Time Magazine to help them learn more about what it is occurring in the world around them.

My students are creative, energetic, and loving children. My entire class yearns to learn as much as possible in many different ways. In the classroom, I strive to get my students up and moving while learning as often as possible. These students love to work together in all subject areas; many of the conversations they partake in working together lead to new interests and questions.
In our Title I school, all of the 1st to 8th grade students will receive free and reduced breakfast and lunch.
Our school is located right outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Many of these students come from a low, socioeconomic households. We are a school that tries to help our students out as much as we can. They are part of our family.
My students love to read about many different subjects whether it be fantasy, tall tales, history, sports stars, space, or animals, they soak up everything they read. There are times that I struggle keeping the students in current event materials or high interest articles that are on the students' reading level.
The students will be able to use the articles in the Time Magazines to help spark their interests into subjects they may never have been exposed to before.
During the course of the day, we work in small reading groups. These magazines will allow me to vary the sources I use in small group. I can use the articles to help solidify the students reading skills we have been learning though out the year.
