My Project

My students are curious, thoughtful learners who love discovering what is happening beyond our classroom. I would love to provide them with access to TIME for Kids, a student-friendly current-events resource that will help make reading, learning, and connecting with the world more meaningful.

TIME for Kids gives students the opportunity to read about real people, places, events, science, and issues that affect their world.

Having these age-appropriate articles available in our classroom will help my students strengthen their reading comprehension, vocabulary, critical-thinking, and discussion skills while building background knowledge about the world around them.

For many students, reading about something that is actually happening in the world makes literacy feel more relevant and exciting. I want my classroom to be a place where students can ask questions, share their ideas, learn from one another, and see themselves as informed young citizens.

With your support, my students will be able to regularly explore current events and topics that connect literacy to the real world. A TIME for Kids subscription would be more than just another reading resource—it would give my students opportunities to become stronger readers, deeper thinkers, and more engaged learners.
