My Project

Help me give my students the joy of discovery and a lifelong love for science through "Thrilling Thursdays" our special weekly preschool adventure in hands-on STEM play! I was to encourage my students to be excited about science!

They learn best by touching, mixing, building, and playing not sitting still for long explanations.

That’s why I created Thrilling Thursdays: a dedicated day each week to turn simple, safe activities into exciting STEAM explorations tailored for little hands and big imaginations.

We mix paints and water to watch colors blend and change, build tall towers with blocks and test what makes them stay up or tumble, guess sink or float in water tubs, make raisins “dance” in bubbly soda, explore magnets pulling and pushing from afar, plant seeds and watch them sprout over time, or roll cars down ramps to see how far they go! Kiddos light up when something surprises them and proudly share their wobbly tries!

Starting STEM this young builds confidence, curiosity, problem-solving, and early thinking skills through pure play. Many haven’t had much chance to experiment like this yet, so these Thursdays show them science is fun, creative, and something they can do. It plants seeds for them to see themselves as little scientists, engineers, and thinkers skills that will help them thrive in kindergarten and beyond. As a new teacher, I’m limited on supplies and want to keep Thrilling Thursdays fresh and exciting all year. Your support will provide safe, preschool-friendly resources like magnetic building, sink/float objects, and seed-growing supplies!
