My Students

I work at a Title I school with an awesome student base! I serve as a reading coach to kids that are super relational and always on the go. They are from a rural community. Each one is naturally life-loving and has the ability to make their own fun. Their day-to-day lives are filled with school sports and free time either on our small-town streets or their family farms. Their interest are wide-ranged and that is why I need help broadening my library!

My Project

This year has been a thrill! I have watched countless students take the opportunity to fall in love with reading in ways they haven't before. Due to the cold of winter, I would like to supply sun lamps and as well as new reading material through this project. I believe this will aid in the mental health of my students while the days are shorter and many student cannot play outside as long. The combination of a good book with a dose of vitamin D can't help but make their days and learning stellar. A reading interventionist library is never complete. I would so appreciate help also in growing my library! This project is comprised of items that I believe will help students both physically and mentally excel.
