This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have the best students who have a love for learning and a passion for reading!

Novel studies and literature circles both create a true reading community that is student led and leads to the deepest, most meaningful, organic conversations about literature and their connections to it.

I have done How to Steal a Dog and Fish in a Tree novel studies in the past, and the level of growth and engagement was inspiring. Not only do novel studies and literature circles allow us to engage in deep and meaningful conversations about literature, but this time to work together in collaborative groups and as a whole class is priceless. My hope is to have several options available so we can work and grow in our reading fluency, confidence and understanding of literature for the whole school year. Thank you for your time and consideration.
