My Project

My students love to play the xylophones and metallophones in music class. We use them from kindergarten through 5th grade. It's such a joy to see how they progress from year to year! Last year, the entire 3rd grade class (100+) students performed on the xylophones for our school's annual S.T.E.A.M. Night. It was a great experience for them! They were so proud of themselves!

However, it is cumbersome and sometimes dangerous to haul the large and heavy instruments around the classroom by hand.

With the rolling instrument stands, the students will be able to move the instruments themselves. This will instill a sense of ownership for them, as well as ease the transitions between classes for me, the teacher.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
