My Students

I have the pleasure of teaching 24 fourth grade students. In addition to my homeroom students, I also teach science to all 75 fourth graders. These students are tech-savvy and eager to learn, and have a bright future.

At our school, we use the Summit Learning platform.

This means we use our laptops, head phones, and other technology every day. They are critical pieces to our successful learning.

My Project

Learning should be fun, engaging, and hands-on! I want science to come alive in my classroom. The more our students can experience science for themselves, the richer the learning experience will be for them. I would love to add some digital microscopes to the classroom so that the learning experience can come alive.

In addition to the microscopes, I would love to add a class set of headphones.

Our school uses the Summit Learning platform which means that students use their laptops daily. Often, videos are used to reteach, deepen understanding, and reinforce content. A classroom set of headphones would mean that students wouldn't need to go out into the hall when they leave their headphones at home, or if their set breaks during the school day. Also, during remote learning, students would have their own head phones, so they wouldn't need to be in a separate room from other siblings or parents during at-home learning.
