Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are happy to come to school each day! Kindergarten is exciting! My students are amazing! They are eager to participate in engaging activities and learn new skills every day.

My students represent many different backgrounds and many are English Language Learners.

All my students receive free breakfast and lunch. Some of my students have obstacles in their lives, making coming to kindergarten difficult. Our Title I school offers a nurturing experience where all students can achieve success! Our school provides students with the opportunity to learn with confidence and pride!

My Project

The books and materials I am requesting for this project will allow my students to interact with themes throughout the year as they progress toward mastery of kindergarten skills! I am requesting Lakeshore Theme Book Library Set 1 and Set 2, and Lakeshore Theme Box Set 1 and Set 2. I am pairing these books and Theme Boxes to give my students a highly engaging experience as they gain confidence in the areas of reading, language,speaking, listening, and critical thinking.

Hands-on materials and books will give my students opportunities to experience the endless possibilities and power of BOOKS!

Many of my students are second language learners. The Theme Boxes paired with Theme Book Libraries will provide the perfect scenario for my students to develop understanding in all areas of literacy!
