Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students this year are incredible! They are curious, kind, brave and engaged learners. Many of my students have hard life circumstances, and come from low-income and food insecure families.

I'm requesting snacks to fuel my kiddos' hungry bodies and give them the energy to learn and sensory toys to help them regulate their bodies and minds.

I also send snacks home over the weekend for students who need some.

I'm also requesting a few copies of the book "Two Degrees" by Alan Gratz to round out a class set of copies for our next read aloud, so each student can have their own copy of the book. I can't wait to see the looks on their faces when they each get their very own copy. The books I am requesting are tailored to particular kids' interests - my students love classroom read-alouds!
