One moment I'll never forget was when a group of students ran their hands over the paints and exclaimed, \"¡Podemos hacer arte de verdad!\"—their joy showed how much these materials meant to them.\r\n\r\nSince then, we've already put the supplies to use. During a recent bilingual science lesson on the water cycle, students worked in small groups to design posters using the chart paper and markers. Having sturdy paper and enough resources for everyone meant that each group could truly take ownership of their work, adding drawings, labels, and bilingual vocabulary words. The paints have also inspired a math-art project where students created number patterns with bright colors, proudly hanging them around the room to make the space feel alive with their learning.\r\n\r\nThese materials have not only supported learning but also created a sense of pride and belonging in our classroom. The students see that people outside of our school community care about their education, and that has motivated them to try even harder. Our next steps include a writing project where students will create bilingual storybooks and use the folders to organize their drafts and illustrations.
