The Science Of Today Is The Future Of Tomorrow!

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I currently teach a class of 24 smart and kind students in the area of Dallas, Texas. My kids come from a predominately low socioeconomic community. Although my students come from harsh and rough lifestyles, they are some of the happiest kiddos I know. In our class, we put our differences aside and become one learning environment for everybody.

For many of my students, this is their first REAL school year!

Many of them have only seen the wonders of virtual learning. It is time to give these students and unforgettable experience in class they will never forget.

My Project

Problem-solving and critical thinking are two of the most important skills students learn in school. In this way, SCIENCE is one of the most important subjects students study, because it gives them the critical thinking skills they need in every subject.

Science in elementary is so important because it gives students the opportunity to connect through a real-life scenario and has them wanting to learn more.

As you know, reading and math are often the subjects that get the most priority in early elementary. I would love for my students to explore science concepts through books, readers and science centers like animal bingo, animal xrays, and other materials they can use during our science block.
