Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are bright English language learners with diverse strengths and challenges. They are enthusiastic, inquisitive, and hardworking.
I believe that each child is able to learn, grow, and succeed.
Yoga, creative movement, multi-sensory techniques, and strategies are incorporated into lessons to ensure the success of all learners. Students work hard to gain new skills, strategies, and a positive attitude about reading!
My Project
Please help my students celebrate diversity while practicing essential listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Students will use the multicultural storytelling kits to listen to and read six wonderful multicultural tales. They will learn about many diverse characters and their unique families, cultures and traditions. Students will then use the beautifully illustrated storytelling props depicting characters and scenes to retell the stories to their classmates, friends and families. They will also write about these stories and the themes and messages taught. Students will use the pencils and colored pencils to illustrate their writing. Help us grow and explore!
