My students are unique in so many ways. Being 14-15 years old means their interests are ever evolving and changing. Due to this, I want to be able to have a wide variety of books that peek their interest. From football to anime to makeup, my students are passionate about so many awesome things.
As society has evolved so has education and the way this generation learns.
I want my students to be exposed to literature of ALL types and be aware of what is going on in their culture. I am confident that the next generation of young adults will make a great change in this world.
My Project
Students will have more books to choose from in my classroom. They will have more options beyond what I already have. They will be able to do different station rotations in class utilizing expo marks, dry erase boards, sticky notes, and creative thinking with play dough!
I am excited to offer my students these book titles because they are multi cultural.
My students will be able to see themselves in books they are reading.
We will use sticky notes for many different types of writing activities. Sticky notes are great because they provide quick feedback.
I am excited about utilizing white boards in class to allow students another way to write and give quick feedback. It is fun for the kids to have another outlet to share their ideas besides old fashion pen and paper.
