Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My resource room is made up of 12 amazing kids from kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd grade! They are the most adorable kids who are always eager to learn every day!

Our goal this year is to learn our letters so we can read and spell words, master our numbers, build relationships, follow directions, regulate our feelings, and access the general education content in different and fun ways!

My Project

In our classroom, we use anchor charts a lot so we see what we have learned during the day! The anchor chart stand will really be a big help in our classroom as we learn our letters, words and more as they provide students with a source to reference when working on their own. In our class, our goal is to learn the letter of the day and we use these anchor charts as we do it. We use different examples of objects that begin with each letter that we put in the anchor chart for the students to see!

The other hands-on manipulatives and materials such as the alphabet tubs will help engage my young learners as they learn their letters sounds and keywords.

I have always believed in using multi-sensory approaches to teaching kids so we will use these materials to learn our letters.

At the same time, this will incorporate play in our lessons which is fun for the class. This will be used during our small groups, individualized instruction and even send these workbooks out for students who want to keep learning at home.

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. This will be such a gift.
