The Joy of Reading for Special Students

Help me give my students basic supplies, including crayons, readers for students with dyslexia, and a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card for curriculum materials.

My Project

My students are third and fourth graders with special education needs. Many struggle to read, and are suspected to have dyslexia. School funds and materials are limited, and I am asking for specific Orton-Gillingham readers and workbooks, plus additional supplies to create materials to go along with the OG readers.

Reading should be fun for all students, but because of my students' struggles with learning to read, many don't find it enjoyable.

I have such a great group of students who deserve to know the joy of reading. By introducing them to text that they can learn to read, and purchasing materials on TPT to support this, my students will finally learn the joy of reading!

In addition, we are in need of basic supplies, such as crayons, for our classroom. I've also included squishies to use as rewards for my students. They look forward to treasure chest at the end of the week, and this is my students' favorite "treasure."
