My Students

I am a 4th-grade teacher in Riverview, FL. More than half of the students come from low-income families. The next science unit is on life cycles. We would love to study the life cycle of chickens as the student are fascinated by how they grow within an egg.

With this project, students will learn hands the life cycle of a chicken as they observe the needs of the chicken egg over time.

My Project

Our 4th-grade students at RAMS will be studying life cycles. Last year we helped increase the population of Monarch Butterflies. This year we would love to hatch chicks. Help us get chicken eggs and an incubator so our 2 science classes can properly observe them develop.

This will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for our students as they get to see the eggs develop and hatch.

Each class is asking for an incubator and six eggs each. When the eggs are hatched, we will take the time to care for them before donating them to a local family in need.
