Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a school counselor, I work with students every day who are learning how to understand, express, and manage their emotions. Many children experience big feelings such as worry, frustration, sadness, excitement, or anger, and they need supportive tools to help them regulate these emotions in healthy ways.

This project will provide calming and sensory resources that create a safe, welcoming space where students can pause, reset, and build important social-emotional skills.

Items such as fidgets, calming tools, sensory materials, flexible seating, and mindfulness resources will help students develop self-regulation strategies, improve focus, and return to learning feeling more confident and supported.

By providing these resources, students will gain tools they can use not only in the counseling office, but throughout the school day and beyond. Your support will help create an environment where every child feels seen, valued, and empowered to thrive both emotionally and academically.
