My Project

Hello everyone, I am a middle school ELA teacher in the city of Philadelphia. I am teaching specifically in the West Philadelphia area. In my class, we will do a lot of writing to help us understand and analyze what we read. For this project I am requesting highlighters so that they can focus their thinking as they read and peer edit. I am requesting posted notes to also help them focus their thinking as they read. The post notes will also help us collaborate. I am requesting folders to help us stay organized and sentence strips to help us organize our thoughts as a class. The sentence strips will also help students track what the focus is for each lesson. I have included toner for a color printer (specifically Brother TN227 toner). This will allow my students to bring their writing to life. I’ve also thrown in the basics such as pencils, markers, expo markers, and erasers.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
