The Adventures of Botley & Many Praying Mantis

Help me give my students opportunities to learn about creatures in other communities than what they live in. Also, please provide my students with accessories to use with our Botley coding robot.

My Project

Hello! The students in my classroom really love live insects and coding. My class loves to learn about praying mantis every year. They do not live in an area that they would naturally see them outside of our classroom. The students learn about and how to care for praying mantis. We also have visitors from different grade levels come view and learn about our praying mantis as well. The students in my classroom currently have a Botley coding robot. We use this robot to practice skills taught and learn new skills. It would be helpful to have accessories in addition to the original kit I received.

The students look forward to this adventure and have heard it's something to look forward to when they become Second Graders.

They know what fun times previous classes have had as well as what they will be learning as we move through Second Grade.
