Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach in a title one public school. Many children are recent immigrants and do not speak English.

My students lack a real sense that they are connected to the Earth. Many have never touched a seed before! Science curriculum so essential to the growth of young minds, often gets pushed to the back burner. Well thanks to you, NOT THIS YEAR! Help us go on an amazing trip to the new CA Academy of Sciences.

My students will visit a four story rainforest! We always make rainforests out of paper, on the bulletin board, but to walk my students through one...! Wow, imagine the difference between reading and going. This will be a once in a lifetime experience for some of my students.

You will be giving a life expanding experience. They will learn about their world, their planet, their backyard. I can't wait to see their faces when they are exploring such a wonderful place.
